Draw The Phantom

Here's the Phantom page from "Draw 50 Famous Cartoons" by Lee J. Ames. I mentioned this book in Tuesday's post and it made me want to track this down:

  1. Man, when I was a kid I used to try to draw from this kind of useful instruction so often. I always lost patience with the fussy steps and jumped right to the full drawing, trying to copy it. And, of course, my proportions and angles were always terrible. -- Mykal

  3. Mykal: When I was a kid, I must confess I probably drew Scooby Doo more than the rest of the characters in the book combined. But, yeah, learning to take to time to master the underlying structure is KEY.
