Draw The Phantom

Here's the Phantom page from "Draw 50 Famous Cartoons" by Lee J. Ames. I mentioned this book in Tuesday's post and it made me want to track this down:

  1. Man, when I was a kid I used to try to draw from this kind of useful instruction so often. I always lost patience with the fussy steps and jumped right to the full drawing, trying to copy it. And, of course, my proportions and angles were always terrible. -- Mykal

  2. This is great stuff! Thanks for posting. I really enjoy your blog.

  3. Mykal: When I was a kid, I must confess I probably drew Scooby Doo more than the rest of the characters in the book combined. But, yeah, learning to take to time to master the underlying structure is KEY.

Trained Observer: Thank you! Stop by any time.
