Just Another Mandrake Monday- "Arsonist and Old Rags"

Phantom #22
May, 1967
King Comics
Cover: Sy Barry
Script: Uncredited
Pencils/Inks: Bill Ziegler?

I was very pleased that this newly acquired Phantom purchase also included a Mandrake back-up. In this punchy little 4-pager, Mandrake and Lothar aid the Police and Fire Departments.

Enjoy "Arsonist and Old Rags".

  1. This was the first issue of The Phantom that I bought. (It was one of three King comics sold in a bag for 35 cents.) It was the start of a lifelong love of the Phantom and Mandrake (even though I was too young at the time to realize that the title of the Mandrake story was playing on the title "Arsenic and Old Lace." Thanks for posting.
